Classical vs quantum corrections to jet broadening in a weakly-coupled Quark-Gluon Plasma

A bstract The transverse momentum broadening coefficient $$ \hat{q} q ̂ receives both soft, classical and radiative, quantum corrections. former are responsible for a large \mathcal{O} O ( g ) correction, whereas the latter enter at relative order α s , but enhanced by double logarithm of length medium over thermal wavelength. We analyze radiative corrections weakly-coupled quark-gluon plasma. find that population dynamical gluons changes boundaries reduces size double-logarithmic phase space. It also provides new subdominant logarithmic show how quantum, classical, soft spaces smoothly connected once radiated gluon becomes enough. Finally, we discuss pathway to determination beyond harmonic-oscillator approximation.
